Look at our son last year, boy how time changes them both so quickly

Although we are excited for the New Year 2009, we will recap some of my favorite moments of the year (with some pictures above).
* 2008 has been the year of hopes and dreams being both fulfilled and changed, and we have both been faced with learning how to role with the punches in life when God decides he wants a different plan than we thought was "THE PLAN". This year has both challenged our relationship with him and we hope to gain an even stronger connection with God in 2009.

We think 2009 will be two-fold:
1.) The year of "Fruit of the Spirit": When the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

2.) The year of the invites ~ we hosted so many things this year, I think that we will be invited to some great get-togethers next year! (hee-hee)

We are thankful for our health, or beautiful little ones (Waylon and Avery), our adorable pets (Swade, Copper, Kale, and Shiner). We are grateful that we have a strong marriage and the type of relationship that we consider ourselves friends first, our financial situation in this difficult economy. If you are our friends and family, we are glad that you have come on this journey of life with us. Thank you for your friendship, love, and support.
Mantra:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next.

Happy New Year to all!
